I’d say this place is like Disney World for dogs! Our pups had an absolute blast from start to finish. The host was amazing — so welcoming and attentive, and made the whole process super easy for us, so we could just relax and enjoy. There are plenty of toys for the dogs to play with and even kayaks for the humans. The whole area is fully fenced and safe from any wildlife, so we felt totally at ease. We loved every moment and will definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend this place if you want your dogs to run, swim, and have the time of their lives!

Wonderful space with everything a puppy could dream of. Agility equipment, a dam for a swim and so many toys and sniff opportunities. The hour went by too fast. We will definitely be back again soon.

We had a fabulous family outing, with our four herding breed type dogs , they absolutely loved it ! The dogs ran full pelt, frolicked , dive bombed and swam in the billabong the entire time! The acre area is so private , rural,outlook, full of interest in terrain and challenging activities for the dogs! Our rescue and our pup taught themselves to swim freely on the day from one bank to the other by watching the older dogs . The area is clearly maintained regularly, and very clean with lots balls and toys and challeges for the dogs etc. We double booked and took a family picnic which we shared at the comfy table and chairs provided and sheltered by umbrella. The fence is a great height and access staightforward with parking right at the gate. We are looking forward to the next visit .

We took our two German Shepherds to Snakeweed Flats yesterday and they had the absolute best time! The space was secure, stocked with toys, peaceful, and perfect for letting them roam freely. To our surprise, they even swam in the dam—we didn’t think they liked water! It was such a joy to watch them explore, run, and play with total freedom. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a safe and enriching off-lead experience for their dogs.

This was one of the best experiences we have had with our dogs. A whole hour of not having to worry about other dogs and just letting them have fun and explore. We will definitely be back!

What a thoroughly enjoyable spot for a family picnic in the shade and some water play in the dam. Our puppy, Milo, enjoyed a swim and a ride on the kayak as well as zoomies on the grass. We look forward to returning.

My two German shepherds, Callie and Denver, had a blast! Our female loves the water however due to living up north I’m always worried about crocs in waterways. I was so happy when I discovered this Sniff Space and Callie loved it - constantly in and out of the water for almost an hour. I’ve also never seen my two run around so much! Denver loves to follow his nose (and shut his ears off lol) so this fenced area was perfect for me to let my guard down and allow him to explore. The space was clean and big with plenty of balls to play with! My partner and I had a kayak too! 10/10 experience for the dogs. Couldn’t be happier - will return again soon!

Miss Blue loved her time this morning she was a bit nervous at first but settled in and wore herself out quickly! My only concern was fence height she is a big dog though not the property issue and she spotted a wallaby I thought oh no! Lots of toys and shade and bubbles to play with! We will be back :)

The space was great - grassy and clean, a small dam full of water with easy bank access, a kayak for fun, trees for shade, an abundance of toys (that my dogs ignored) and we were undisturbed for our entire visit. Great idea!! Also worth mentioning that it was easy to get to, clear instructions and very private. Dogs loved it and they sure did sniff!!

Oh wow! What a morning. We took our labs out today. They ran, they sniffed, they swam for an entire hour. The facilities were clean and tidy. The bottles of bubbles were fun and the table and chairs in the shade were great for my mum. Highly recommend snd thinking this will be a monthly outing for us.

WOW! Our 17 month old German Shepherd Trina had the best time ever at Snakeweed Flats! This is absolutely the best, safe place to let your dog off leash and let them go mental. Trina loves the water but once I got in the kayak she was out swimming and having the time of her life. The fresh water and bowl, treats and poop bags (I totally forgot mine), chairs, toys, ropes and plenty of shade were a wonderful addition to an already super fun place for dogs. Great way to tire out a high energy dog. She’s now crashed on the couch

Our 4 rescue dogs had an awesome time. Given our dogs history not all of them are comfortable around other dogs, or people they don’t know, so to be able to take them all out together to run, play and swim was amazing. Thank you for allowing us the chance to use such a great facility. Luved it !

We took our border collie & labradoodle & they had the best time we’ve never seen them be so carefree together with ample space to run, swim & play they just looked so happy the whole time we were there they did not stop. We’re planning on coming once a month as our border collie is reactive we can’t do the usual trips off leash for risk of being approached so this is the perfect space for both our social & non social pup to have the time of their lives! We will be back for sure

I loved the opportunity to take my reactive dog here. He unfortunately had to stay with me and attached to a lond lead til we are certain he won't chase wildlife. But nonetheless he still had a blast sniffing and exploring. Even shocked me by going chest depe in water, as he's not a water dog. I'm definitely looking forward to making it a regular visit place for him and I can't wait to teach him some agility training and get him swimming the dam one day

Our first visit and we loved it!! Was great to have the space to ourselves and I could let my boy loose in a large fenced area where he was free to run and explore. The dam also allowed us to safely allow him to enjoy a swim. The complementary treats and cold water were a nice touch too.

What a fabulous space! Roxy was very cautious as she always is with a new environment didn't take her long to start sprinting and jumping in the water, swimming to her hearts content, she had lots of fun and threw a tantrum when we left. Next time we will need to being a playmate

What a fantastic space! Max and Bruno had an amazing time and went home so tired. The only note I'll make is that the back fence is a little short and the wallaby's were very tempting for Bruno to want to chase so we had to keep a close eye on him.

I love this Sniff Space!!!! Great size and the dam was full for the dogs to play in!!! It’s so much fun watching the dogs run around and we can just sit down and relax!! Highly recommend!!

Frankie had such a fun time at Oak Valley sniff space with his friends Rico, Louis and George, his brother! The area was so welcoming with water, snacks and plenty of toys to play with. An absolutely fantastic space for my 2 dogs who are both human and dog aggressive. They had a ball, ran themselves ragged, swam and played. There's cold water for humans and puppy treats for the VIPs. It's definitely going to be a regular outing for them

We have been to Snakeweed Flats multiple times now, and each time is better than the last! I have 4 dogs, and they all absolute love coming here; their excitement for this space never dampens. I have also visited with friends and witnessed multiple dogs that normally hate water, swim willingly and without prompt in the dam. I have used the space to build confidence in my foster dogs, and take advantage of this fully fenced space to work on their recall and other training. It is also a fabulous place for the humans. You can be adventurous and jump in the kayak. Or just relax, take in the scenery and open air, and watch as your pups have the time of their lives :) Highly recommend, and will definitely stay a regular.

Thank you for allowing us to use your area. Charli and Kona loved it. There was so much to do, and they especially spent a lot of their time swimming in the dam. We had a very quiet afternoon as they came home exhausted. Thank you again.

What a wonderful sniffspace. Such a great place for all dog related activities. My kelpie had a ball swimming, running and playing with the toys. It was also a wonderful place for us to practice our recall safely. We live in Cairns but are in Townsville every few months, and will definitely take a visit to Snakeweed Flats for a run each time we are down. Highly recommended.

Our first visit for our Big Girl Lulu. She had lots of fun. Peacefully able to sniff and adventure the whole fenced property, even getting into the dam after much curiosity. While it was warm and dry sniffspace was well laid out with everything supplied a great setup. Hopefully some rain soon and maybe some shade areas. Would be awesome. Thank you for a great morning

Wow what can I say. My 2 doggos loved this space. They prefer humans and are very picky about the furry variety which makes going to public dog parks just not possible. So finding this place has been a god send. I didn't know my dogs loved to swim. In our old house they would sit on the first step and that was it when it came to the pool but today they were straight in that dam. I can see this will be a regular. Please remember your hat. The host is amazing with communication and has provided a beautiful natural place for our furry friends to work out that energy.

Snakeweed Flats is a wonderful space for dogs! My dog loved coming here to sniff everywhere and go in the dam. The space was well maintained and there were water bowls, water, toys, treats, and a bin for poo bags too. It was easy to find and the fences are high enough for a giant breed dog.

This space is awesome and has something for every doggo! Our two pups loved the dam as well as the agility/play equipment! We will definitely be repeat customers :) Teegin has done an amazing job! There's even chairs and a table to sit at while your doggos explore!

This was my first sniffspace adventure, and the bar has been set high. I took both my border collies out for this adventure - we had so much fun in the kayak playing and loved that this space had thought of EVERYTHING. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have fun with their dogs without worrying about other dogs around.

Rosie and I had our first sniff space expirience at Snakeweed Flats and it was great! So many things for Rosie to play with but the dam was her favourite. She didn't want to leave i had to carrie her to the car!

Willow and her friends had a wonderful time out at Snakeweed Flats! We used the space to introduce willow to her mum and other dogs that the breeder owns as she will be looking after willow for us whilst we are away on holidays. Such a great neutral space to introduce the dogs as they had so much to do from playing fetch to swimming in the dam. Willow loved being able to zoom around the fenced in area with her new friends.

Sunny had THE BEST time this morning! So much running, swimming, ball chasing, swimming, ball chasing while swimming and more swimming! She even had her first experience in a kayak! We will absolutely be back again! :)

Our second visit to Snakeweed Flats. My cattle x border collie had a play date with 2 of her besties and they got to stretch their legs and have a swim. We brought our kids this time too who had just as much fun. Teegin left a bubble gun, among other thoughtful gestures, which they loved. The highlight was watching the kids have a little paddle in the canoe while the dogs swam along with them. We are so happy to have a safe and stimulating place to hang out with our dogs off leash so close to Townsville.

Being a Cane Corso owner means our boy can’t go everywhere, mainly due to other pups wanting to start something they can’t finish. This space was perfect. They ran, swam, sniffed, played ball, and were safe. There were treats available, fresh water, a bubble gun, bunch of tennis balls, kayak, and dam. Don’t get too close to the water like I did, cause you’ll slip

Bingo had a great time. It is the perfect place to work on her recall being fully fenced and the different obstacles gave me a few different options for hiding a scent container on and the distraction of being in a different place to do a scent search meant she had to work her brain a little harder than normal training. With the added bonus of a dam to cool off in and have a drink at the same time.

My two boys had a great time today. Was very well put together will be coming back! ❤️

Our First Sniff Space experience was at Snakeweed Flats - Sniffari Both my fur children and I had such a fun and amazing time. We were all entertained and my dogs gained so much confidence in the water and on the obstacles! We also loved having the kayak to use for our own enjoyment! Everyone looked so cute in the lifejackets provided as an added bonus. Will definitely be coming back.

We had a fantastic time at Snakeweed Flats this afternoon. Lucca enjoyed swimming in the dam, while Pippi loved exploring the whole area. Both dogs loved the freedom of being off leash. They made good use of all the agility equipment. We will definitely be back.

This space is amazing. Both pups had a great time swimming and exploring and even had a play on the agility equipment there. I had a great time out on the kayak too. Lovely space, very peaceful, will be back again many times I think.

The beagle boys loved their Sniffari with their JRT cousins. They loved having the freedom of being off-leash in a safe space. Harvey accidently ventured into the water on arrival, but left the swimming to Sarge.

Sarge & Scrat had a great time - Sarge did multiple laps of the dam & Scrat had a good wander around at his own pace. Looking forward to returning next weekend!

Such a good experience for my doggos! I have three dogs so I’m always quite nervous leaving them off the leash in unknown areas. I felt super comfortable at Snakeweed Flats! The secured fencing made me at ease and my doggos absolutely had the time of their lives. My daughter even had a ball with the kayak. Both the dogs and my kid slept on the way home. Fantastic place! I have a dog that has anxiety (medicated) and this exhibits with dog aggression and so we can’t take her to the usual places you’d take your dog. Snakeweed was perfect - it’s her own little place that she could run around with her siblings without displaying any anxiety! She was so calm and happy it was great to see. She ran around off leash in the enclosed area without a care in the world because we all knew there was no risk of any other dogs coming along. They each hopped onto the kayak with me in the dam and jumped off to swim to the shore. Was so peaceful and a great afternoon with our pups being pups! Will definitely be back.

The dogs loved it! Plenty of room to run at full tilt, and a nice big dam to swim around in and try to catch those pesky water droplets :) Only thing I could suggest is maybe some shade for the humans while the pups explore

Had an absolutely fantastic time with my two, Sadie and Winston, at Snakeweed Flats dog park. The area was a dream come true for my water-loving pups. They had a blast swimming beside us while we went kayaking – such a unique and delightful experience! The agility obstacles provided endless entertainment for Sadie. They loved playing fetch into the water. Thank you, Snakeweed Flats, for providing such a wonderful and secure environment for my fur children to explore and play, we cant wait to return.

Great day out. Rubie loved being off leash and being able to experience the dam in her own time. It was great to watch her confidence building. Next time - the Kayak. It was good to get her back on the agility equipment as well - she still hates that see-saw! Hope to Get Hamish out for a sniff soon.

Great setup we loved it, but not as much as the dogs did. They have never had so much room to run, swim and play.

Xero and Roo had an absolute ball! Loved not needing to worry about Xeros unpredictable "husky recalls" or either girls reactivity towards unknown dogs. Hope to make this a regular maybe with some more friends next time

This space is definitely what Townsville needs. My dog had the best hour of her life and I didn’t have to worry about other dogs or people or her her escaping. Will definitely be taking her back

Great space, great amenities available for the fur babies - space was very clean and well maintained. The access to space was clearly signed and very easy to navigate. My pup and son had the best time! It's a great safe place to let the dog be a dog, and kid be a kid. We arrived late and the host allowed us to stay a little later to get our full time. We could have stayed there all day!

Peanut, Jelly, and Fudge had heaps of fun playing at Snakeweed Flats today! There is so much for them to do and explore. It was non-stop sniffing, swimming, and running for the hour. We also tested out the kayak ourselves which great :) everything has been thought of by the host, very well done Teegin! The only criticism I have is it’s unfortunately a bit too pricey for us to do as often as we would like to, otherwise I’d be trying to get us there on a fortnightly basis! Thanks for a great day :)
